I am glad to share that the website for Kamath Design Studio has gone live today.
White, minimal, clean, straight forward and heavy on Google Maps. Right from day one we (the client and me) were sticking to these words. In the process of development, few things changed, like layout and functionality at some places. But, these were minor and did not affect the original concept. Concept of keeping it minimal, white, clean and heavy on Google Maps.
Kamath Design Studio is an architectural practice in New Delhi, pioneer for mud architecture in India. The firm practises sustainability and prides itself for the attention to details in their projects. One of the key challenges in website design was to reflect the same ideology.
The layout from first day was based on square grid, white and it allowed the colours of the content to dominate.
The website was heavy on Google Maps API. The same was also used in my previous project, ArchitectureLive! But, in this case we went a step ahead and explore more possibilities with the Google Maps API.
The contents of the website were interlinked, like Media and Publications Page and Projects Page had a cross connectivity. This ensured that the user of the website is engaged with the relevant information on the website.
